Giao diện làm việc của Whiteboard

Sau khi mở Whiteboard, người dùng sẽ thấy không gian làm việc và các tính năng trên thanh công cụ. Giống như các bảng trắng khác, bạn có thể sử dụng công cụ   Bút để viết lên bảng và công cụ tẩy   Tẩy để xóa. Lưu ý: không sử dụng bút viết để vẽ lên bảng!

Khác với bảng trắng thông thường, không gian làm việc trên bảng trắng kỹ thuật số là vô hạng và có thể phóng to hay thu nhỏ tùy ý nhờ công cụ   Bảng không giới hạn.

Người dùng cũng thể tạo thêm trang mới bằng cách chọn   Trang mới trên thanh công cụ động. Người dùng có thể sắp xếp lại vị trí các thanh công cụ động tại mỗi trang hoặc tất cả các trang.

There is also the option to use the entire Windows computer operating system with the   Windows toggle button, found in the main toolbar. You can think of this like making Whiteboard transparent, with a regular Windows computer displayed behind. Switch between whiteboard pen tools and mouse mode (for interacting with Windows) by toggling between   and  . To add Magic Box elements in Windows mode, double click or tap the desired feature (drag and drop is not supported in this mode).

Interactivity with Magic Box Whiteboard is designed to be flexible and can be used in different scenarios. It can be a simple interface for note-taking, or a complete lesson tool for creating and giving presentations with a variety of interactive media, in addition to livestreaming and recording sessions. For advanced features, there is Magic Box.

Pop Quiz
Click the icon to create a quiz, which participants can answer from their devices. The teacher can view answers from this icon.

 
Poll/Quiz
Click this icon to create: multiple choice, true or false, rating, free response, voting, or random draw polls. Answers can be saved for future reference.

Annotation tools

Pen, eraser, shapes, text tools These core digital whiteboard tools are always visible and accessible from the main toolbar (or the floating toolbar in Windows mode).

Double tap/click each icon for extra options, listed below. There are also undo and redo features in the main toolbar.


  Pen tool options
 
Marker
Draw on the canvas with different colors and line sizes.
 
Paint Brush
A brush-style appearance, with the same customization as the marker.
 
Highlighter
Draw over items on the canvas to add emphasis. Five preset colors available.
 
Laser
Similar to the Highlighter, but each stroke is only visible until the next stroke is started. Can be used to draw attention to something on the the screen, without the need to manually erase after.
 
AI Pen
This opens a new area to draw in. The left panel displays graphics that the AI believes matches the user's drawing. To add a graphic, just drag and drop onto the whiteboard. You can change the color, undo and redo, and delete all from within the drawing area.
 
Shape Pen
Draws lines as a series of repeating shapes. Choose from preset shapes with sliders for size and opacity. Click here to learn how to add custom images.
 
Magic Line Pen
The Magic Line pen acts like a background reveal tool. Choose from different presets or upload your own images. Tip: this tool can be used together with gridlines from the background menu to create a fun guess-the-picture game for participants.

  Eraser options
 
The default eraser. Press the icon once for this eraser, and twice for a slider to change the size.
 
Draw a circle to erase all pen marks completely within that area. Make sure to draw a complete loop around the entirety of what you wish to erase.
 
This clears all pen strokes for all types of pen on the whiteboard. You can choose to apply to the current or every whiteboard page.
 
This clears everything from the whiteboard including pen, images, and imported documents. It does not clear widgets or tools. You can choose to apply to the current or every whiteboard page.

  Shape_Line options
 
Click this icon twice to access color, width, opacity, and types of shapes. There is also the   fill with color option. Note: shape tool icon in the main toolbar changes when different shapes are selected.
 
Click for various 3D shapes.
 
Click for various arrow designs.
 
Click to select the size of the table, and insert onto the whiteboard. Use select tool to move the table.

  Text/Handwriting options
 
Click the Text icon once, and then clicking on the whiteboard, allows you to add text at that location. There is an adorning Text Editor window with options to change the font, size, style and formatting of the text.
 
From the Text Editor there is also the option to playback text using the   speech output function.
 
Also from the Text Editor window there is the option to enter Immersive Reader mode, a powerful tool for building reading and listening comprehension with features like picture and language translation and word type labelling.
 
Click the Text icon in the main toolbar again changes the mode to handwriting mode. Write words on the board and then click the   convert handwriting to text icon in the Floating Toolbar to convert the handwriting to text.

This toolbar can be moved freely around the canvas area.

When in Windows mode, the floating toolbar also contains icons from the main toolbar, which is hidden in Windows mode.

  Move Floating toolbar
Drag to move the Floating Toolbar around the canvas.
  Present mode
Switches the canvas to fullscreen mode, hiding the Windows task bar and title bar.
  Paste from clipboard
Inserts the current clipboard content onto the canvas.
  Embedded browser
Opens the built-in browser to access internet resources.
  Previous Page
If the canvas contains multiple pages, displays the previous page.
  Next Page
If the canvas contains multiple pages, displays the next page.
  New Page
Adds a new page to the canvas.
  Select Live Caption language
Sets the language used by the Live Captions feature.
  Live Captions
Displays spoken text as captions. This feature is available by request.

Embedded browser

Note: embedded browser limitations

  • The embedded browser does not keep records of previous logins, history or search. If you sign out of the program and access it later, it won’t remember any websites you’ve signed in to.
  • The embedded browser does not support pop-up pages.
  • Only one embedded browser can be active at a time.
  • During playback of online videos, setting the video to fullscreen fills up the whole embedded browser area only.

Live captions

The Live Captions feature is available by request to entity users. It uses speech recognition to display captions in real-time at the top of the screen. This makes it easier for the audience to follow what the speaker is saying. This can be used alongside screen sharing and recording if desired.

Wireless Presentation

You can share your screen including audio using a feature called Wireless Presentation. People can watch the livestream via myviewboard.com, using the session name and password.

To enable Wireless Presentation:

  1. Make sure you are signed in to Whiteboard with your myViewBoard account.
  2. Click the   Wireless Presentation icon in the main toolbar. Alternatively click the   icon in the title bar - note that the color reflects the status of Wireless Presentation (red=disabled, green=enabled).
  3. On the Wireless Presentation window, click the red Wireless Presentation icon   to enable screen sharing.
  4. The icon will turn green   indicating Wireless Presentation is enabled. To disable the feature, click the icon again.
  5. participants and attendees can watch the stream by signing in to myviewboard.com, and clicking this icon  , located in the top menu. They do not need to sign in.

Screen sharing with third party services

Your myViewBoard account can connect with several third-party services to integrate your Whiteboard for Windows session with videoconferencing and screen sharing services.

The first step for integrating with a Zoom, Skype, and GoToMeeting account is to connect the service to your myViewBoard account. Do this by first signing in to myviewboard.com, then clicking FollowMe in the top menu, and then clicking Cloud Integration in the left-hand side settings menu. From this screen you can bind several third-party services.

The solutions shown below for Cisco Webex and Google Meet do not require the above step to bind accounts, as they are launched from their own software to share your device screen and are thus independent of Whiteboard. They can still be used to share your screen, including the Whiteboard screen.


Zoom

To verify that Zoom is active and enabled within Whiteboard for Windows:

  1. Sign in to Whiteboard for Windows.
  2. On the title bar (top of the screen), click on the
     
    cloud services drop down icon.
    • If enabled, the Zoom icon has a strong bold color.
    • If disabled, the Zoom icon is grayed out.
  3. By default Zoom is enabled.

To start using the Zoom feature:

  1. On the main toolbar, click the Casting icon.
  2. On the Casting toolbar, click the Zoom icon.

 

On the Wireless Presentation window, click the Zoom icon


To host a meeting:

  1. Select one of the following
    • Start without video
    • Screen share only
  2. Click the   icon.

To join a meeting:

  1. Perform one of the following:
    • On the text box, type the meeting room link.
    • Copy the link, and then click the   icon to paste the meeting room link.
  2. Click the   icon.


The Zoom application opens and starts the meeting. To allow other meeting participants to view your myViewBoard screen:

  1. On the Zoom meeting window, click Share screen on the bottom toolbar.
  2. Select Screen or myViewBoard Main Window.
  3. Click Share.
  4. To stop sharing, click Stop Share.
  5. To end the meeting, click End Meeting on the bottom toolbar.

Skype for Business

You can share your screen via Skype for Business. For user convenience, Skype for Business can be launched and signed-in to from within Whiteboard.

  1. Click   the Wireless Presentation icon in the title bar at the top of the screen.
  2. Click Skype for Business.
  3. Check the email address is the same as your Skype for Business account.
  4. click the Wireless Presentation icon next to the email field, which turns yellow to indicate Skype for Business is loading.
  5. When Skype for Business opens the application should automatically sign in, or you may have to enter your password.
  6. During a Skype meeting or call, click the Share Content button > Share your Desktop, or Share a Window.
  7. You can now share your Whiteboard to others via Skype for Business.


Webex

Before sharing your screen, launch Whiteboard for Windows to set up your presentation first.

  1. Launch the Cisco Webex Meetings application
  2. Click Start a Meeting on the main window.
  3. On the Personal Room window, click Start Meeting.
  4. On the meeting window, click Share > Share My Meeting Window.
    The message "You're sharing your meeting window" appears at the top edge of your screen. At this point, everything on your screen (including Whiteboard for Windows) will be shown to all meeting participants.
  5. Alternatively, you can also select from the icons on the bottom.


Once all participants in the meeting are able to see your screen, switch to Whiteboard for Windows and go through your presentation.


To stop sharing after you're done:

  1. Hover your mouse over the "You're sharing your meeting window" message.
  2. From the top menu that slides down, select Stop sharing.

Record screen

To record the screen, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the Screen Capture   tool, then click the following icon.
    Icon Feature Description
     
    Records events on the whiteboard Click to open the recording toolbar.
  2. Set up the recording environment:
    •   Volume slider - set the recording volume for the session
    Specify a recording mode:
    •   Camera lenses - record the whole screen
    •   Pointer finger - specify a freehand region to record
  3. Click the record button.
    • If a freehand region was specified, red lines appear along the edges of the screen. Drag these to resize the recording area and then click the record button again.
    • If you selected to record the whole screen, select a video resolution, then click the checkmark to get started.
  4. During recording, a floating bar provides the option to pause/resume the screen recording, or stop it at any time.
  5. Click Stop to end the recording. Once stop is pressed, review the video using the preview window.
  6. Click the Save disk icon and select a location to save the video. You can only save videos to the local hard drive and not to your cloud storage.

To take a screenshot, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the Screen Capture   tool.
  2. Click one of the following to take a screenshot of the current whiteboard state.
    Icon Feature Description
     
    Capture the entire screen Click to instantly capture the entire whiteboard area.
     
    Capture a freehand region Draw a closed shape around the area to capture. The capture is ignored if the shape is not closed.
     
    Capture a rectangular region Click and drag to draw a rectangle over the area to capture. Release to capture.
  3. After the capture, the image is saved onto the canvas as a new object.
  4. Interact with the image as with any other object on the whiteboard.


Users that are currently logged in have the option to save the screenshot to their cloud storage.

  1. Click the image once.
  2. Click the Save as... icon from the menu.
  3. Navigate to the desired location, and click the check icon.
