Pour tirer le meilleur parti de myViewBoard, les utilisateurs doivent créer un compte complémentaire myViewBoard sur http://www.myviewboard.com. Les utilisateurs peuvent s'inscrire avec leur adresse de courriel Google, Microsoft ou une adresse de courriel ordinaire.

Un compte myViewBoard offre les avantages suivants :

  • Connexion depuis n'importe où

Configurations requises

myViewBoard.com est accessible en ligne, mais fonctionne mieux s'il est utilisé avec les logiciels suivants :


Pour des performances optimales, il est recommandé d'utiliser le navigateur Chrome (ou tout autre navigateur basé sur Chrome). myViewBoard utilise l'API WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) pour réaliser le partage d'écran sur diverses plateformes telles que Chromebook, PC et Mac. myViewBoard offre les options suivantes pour s'inscrire :


S'inscrire avec un compte Google ou Microsoft existant:

  1. Un email d'activation est envoyé au compte. Activez le compte en cliquant sur le lien envoyé dans l’email d'activation.
  2. Après l'activation, connectez-vous et configurez le nouveau compte myViewBoard.
  3. Lors de la première connexion, myViewBoard.com invite l'utilisateur à mettre à jour son profil personnel et le paramètre du nom du compte.


Si vous avez utilisé l'option de connexion unique (SSO) pour vous connecter, votre navigateur peut se connecter "automatiquement" à myViewBoard.com en utilisant le compte Google ou Microsoft actuellement connecté sur votre navigateur. Si vous souhaitez changer de compte, allez d'abord sur la page Google ou Microsoft correspondante et déconnectez-vous à partir de là. Understanding the myViewBoard.com User Interface

Features Available Without Signing In

When users visit myViewBoard.com, the following features are accessible without signing in:

myViewBoard.com Tasks

Throw objects to a myViewBoard session.

To Throw a file, users have the following options :


Throw using the myViewBoard.com website

Participants can simply go to myViewBoard.com to throw a file by performing the following:


  1. Go to www.myViewBoard.com.
    Users are not required to sign in to access the feature.
  2. Click the Throw to myViewBoard icon.
  3. A pop-up box opens up.
  4. Provide the following information:
    • Participant's name
    • myViewBoard host name.
      If myViewBoard participants are currently signed in to the myViewBoard website, their Board Name will be used.
  5. Select a supported file from their device:
    • Click "+ Upload" or
    • Drag a file into the box.

Throw using a special Public Portal

When using selected myViewBoard features such as Throw, Pop Quiz, and Poll/Quiz, the host may instruct users to go to a special Public Portal webpage to interact with the active myViewBoard session. To get the Public Portal URL, the host must click the session's myViewBoard Name located on the top right corner of the titlebar to display the Public Portal URL or a QR code to share.

The Public Portal is an online page that users can access without the need to sign in. It is recommended that participants use a Chromium-based browser like Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge to access the public portal.

The Public Portal URL uses the following URL format:

myViewBoard.com/NAME_OF_THE_HOST_VIEWBOARD


After the host gives his Public Portal URL, participants must perform the following:

  1. Go to the host Public Portal.
    Users are not required to sign in to access the feature.
  2. Specify a user name. myViewBoard will record any object you send to the board under this name.
  3. On the next page, do one of the following:
    • Click "+ Upload", or
    • Drag a file into the box.
  4. The selected object is automatically sent.
  5. Wait for a few seconds until the host portal displays a success message.



Use Send Screen to cast your screen to another device.

The Send screen feature allows users to send a live video stream of their screen to others.

  1. Go to myViewBoard.com.
  2. Click the 'Send your screen to a viewboard' icon.
    Note that you need to install the myViewBoard Extension for Chrome to use this feature.
  3. On the window that appears, provide your name and the myViewBoard Name of the session that receives the cast.
    The myViewBoard session must be online.
  4. Click Share.
  5. If using multiple screens, select which screen you want to cast.
  6. Click the message to allow myViewBoard to access your screen.
  7. If successful, the following message appears on your screen.
    myViewBoard.com is sharing your screen.

Inform the host of the myViewBoard session of the name you provided. The host must select your name from the list of senders to view your screen. Note that the host must have casting enabled to view your screen. For more information, see Wireless Presentation.

Manage the session by using the following controls at the bottom of the screen share window:

  • An icon to turn the computer’s microphone on or off
  • A quick switch menu which pulls up other devices and lets you switch to another computer on the fly
  • A screenshot tool allowing you to capture what’s being displayed
  • A full screen button and a button to close the window


Use Receive Screen to receive a stream.

To send the myViewBoard Whiteboard for Windows/Android screen to another device:


  1. Go to myviewboard.com.
    1. Click the 'Receive a viewboard on your screen' icon.
      Note that you need to install the myViewBoard Extension for Chrome to perform Wireless Presentation.
    2. On the window that appears, provide the myViewBoard Name of the session that sends the screen.
    3. Another window appears with the following message.
      Waiting for streaming

  2. On the myViewBoard Whiteboard for Windows/Android program, verify that the Wireless Presentation icon is already green.
    1. Click the Wireless Presentation icon on the main toolbar.
    2. On the Present out tab, click the entry you want to send to.
    3. The myViewBoard screen starts streaming on the other device.

  3. To stop the Wireless Presentation:
    1. Click the Wireless Presentation icon on the main toolbar.
    2. On the Present out tab, click the entry you want to stop.
    3. The Wireless Presentation ends immediately.


Update settings on the FollowMe AI screen.

Download myViewBoard programs.

To access the download window, go to myViewBoard.com and perform one of the following:

  • To download myViewBoard programs without signing in, click Resources > Downloads on the top menu toolbar.
  • To download myViewBoard programs while signed in, click the Download icon on the top toolbar.

This opens a window containing download links to myViewBoard programs.


Join a myViewBoard session.

Perform the following steps to participate in a Whiteboard session:


To join a Whiteboard session:

  1. Wait for the teacher to send you the session URL or scan the QR Code provided by the teacher.
  2. Use a web browser to go to the session URL provided by the teacher.
  3. On the new window, provide a name and a log in code if you are a student. The log in code is provided by your Whiteboard host. For guest, the log in code is automatically entered.


To host a Whiteboard session:

  1. Sign in to https://myviewboard.com, and click on the 'Whiteboard' icon.
  2. The next window provides three options to join Whiteboard session:
    • Login code - participants who are in the same room as the host
    • QR code - best for users who are using mobile devices
    • URL link - send through instant messaging.
  3. Distribute the code to all participants, and wait for them to join the session using one of the options above.


Entity Management

Entity admins who sign in to myViewBoard.com have access to additional options exclusive to entity management. Entity admins (or IT admins with sufficient rights) must log into myViewBoard.com to start the onboarding process.


For distribution of myViewBoard for Windows via msi file, entity administrators can check here or refer to their Entity Management console.


Entity admins have access to tools they can use to remotely monitor and manage multiple myViewBoard installations. Tasks available to Entity admins include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Show a summary of user and usage data
  • Select which cloud services users can bind to their account
  • Allow remote hardware management of supported devices
  • View and update information on users, subscription, and domains
  • Manage settings for single sign on and software instances

Using Custom Images

Users need to have a cloud storage account bound to their myViewBoard account to use their own images.

Bind your cloud storage account to myViewBoard.


  1. Sign in to http://www.myViewBoard.com.
  2. Click your avatar, and select myViewBoard FollowMe from the drop down.
  3. Click Cloud Integration on the side panel.
  4. On the Cloud Integration screen, select the cloud storage account you want to bind.
  5. Sign in to your account and allow myViewBoard to access your account.

After binding, a new folder named myViewBoard is created at the root directory of your cloud storage account.

Repeat this process for all cloud storage accounts to bind. By default, the first bound account becomes the default storage account. Contents of all bound storage accounts can be accessed via the Magic Box.


Upload your own images for backgrounds, magic line pens, and shape pens.


  1. Sign in to http://www.myviewboard.com.
  2. Click your avatar, and select myViewBoard FollowMe from the drop down.
  3. On the Setting screen, verify that the myViewBoard default theme is not selected.
  4. On the Cloud Integration screen, verify that the correct cloud storage account is selected as the default.
  5. On the Backgrounds, Magic Line Pens, and Shape Pens screens, perform the following procedures.
    1. Go to the Background, Magic Line Pen, or Shape Pen screen.
    2. Click Update Files to open the cloud storage location for the specified feature.
    3. Select PNG and JPG images to upload to the correct folder.
Images must meet the following dimensions:
Background Any resolution, but 3840 x 2160 (4k resolution) is recommended
Magic Line Pen Should be at least 96 x 96 pixels. Images are tiled to fill the space.
Shape Pen 96 x 96 pixels, all pen images are scaled to this resolution


After uploading, refresh the myViewBoard page to see the new images.

  1. Sign in to Whiteboard for Windows.
  2. Select the new backgrounds, magic line pens, and shape pens:

    Click the Background menu icon and select your custom background.

  3. Start using the backgrounds, magic line pens, and shape pens.
