Wireless Presentation allows users to wirelessly display their screen to a remote screen via the myViewBoard casting feature.

The Cast icon displays options for enabling casting, and selecting which streams you want to view or send to. Features like Throw and Pop Quiz also require casting to be enabled to function properly.


Enabling Wireless Presentation


To use Wireless Presentation, enable the casting feature:

  1. Open the myViewBoard for Windows program.
  2. Sign in with your myViewBoard account.
  3. Click the Cast icon on the main toolbar.
  4. On the Cast toolbar, verify that casting is enabled.
    • If disabled, the cast icon is red and the myViewBoard name is empty. Click the red cast icon to enable.
    • If enabled, the cast icon is green and the myViewBoard name is displayed.

The myViewBoard for Windows program is now ready to receive and send casts.


Wireless presentation is only available for signed in users that have enabled the casting feature. If signed in, casting status is visible at the top right of the myViewBoard title bar. Click the cast status icon to show the casting toolbar. The color of the icon indicates the cast status:

To always enable casting, perform the following:

  1. Using a browser, go to http://myviewboard.com.
  2. Sign in with your myViewBoard account.
  3. Click the FollowMe AI icon.
  4. Click Setting.
  5. Toggle the Always enable casting option to on.
  6. Click confirm.

The setting is applied the next time you sign in to the myViewBoard for Windows program.

Wirelessly Presenting Your Screen to myViewBoard for Windows


To wirelessly present your screen to myViewBoard for Windows:

  1. Go to myViewBoard.com.
    1. Click the 'Send your screen to a viewboard' icon.
      Note that you need to install the myViewBoard Extension for Chrome to perform casting.
    2. On the window that appears, provide a name and the the myViewBoard Name of the session that receives the cast.
    3. Click Share.
    4. If using multiple screens, select which screen you want to cast.
    5. Click the message to allow myViewBoard to access your screen.
    6. If successful, the following message appears on your screen.
      myViewBoard.com is sharing your screen.
  2. On the myViewBoard for Windows program, verify that the cast icon is already green.
    1. Click the Cast icon on the main toolbar.
    2. On the Present in tab, click the entry you want to receive.
    3. The cast is displayed in an embedded window.
  3. To stop the cast:
    1. Click the Cast icon on the main toolbar.
    2. On the Present in tab, click the entry you want to stop.
    3. The cast ends immediately.

You can use the Companion App to manage your presentation.

Wirelessly Presenting the myViewBoard for Windows Screen to Another Device


To wirelessly present a myViewBoard for Windows screen to another device

  1. Go to myviewboard.com.
    1. Click the 'Receive a viewboard on your screen' icon.
      Note that you need to install the myViewBoard Extension for Chrome to perform casting.
    2. On the window that appears, provide the myViewBoard Name of the session that sends the cast.
    3. Another window appears with the following message.
      Waiting for streaming
  2. On the myViewBoard for Windows program, verify that the cast icon is already green.
    1. Click the Cast icon on the main toolbar.
    2. On the Present out tab, click the entry you want to cast to.
    3. The myViewBoard screen starts streaming on the other device.
  3. To stop the cast:
    1. Click the Cast icon on the main toolbar.
    2. On the Present out tab, click the entry you want to stop.
    3. The cast ends immediately.


Managing Wireless Presentations Remotely

  1. Go to http://myviewboard.com
  2. Sign in with the same account used to sign in with the myViewBoard for Windows
  3. Click the Remote Control icon on the toolbar.
  4. Locate the device that needs to use the feature, and click one of the following:
    • Enable casting
    • Log out
