Whiteboard features work best on large touchscreen displays, but Whiteboard also runs on non-interactive screens such as a laptop screen, with mouse clicks replacing the touch for interaction. Whiteboard works together with MyViewBoard.com to allow screen-sharing, and personalize files and settings that can follow a user across devices. Whiteboard for Windows uses AES-256 encryption to protect data. myViewBoard Security outlines security features of the mVB ecosystem, including Whiteboard. <section end=intro />

+ | After opening Whiteboard, you will see the working area and toolbar icons - Whiteboard session information and Whiteboard Settings icons at the upper-left and upper-right corners, and the other tools for interaction in the activity area. Just like a regular whiteboard, you can use the Pen tool to write on the board and the Eraser to clear writing. + | * You can display your existing files and content (click here to jump to that section).
+ | * There is an option to use the entire Windows computer operating system with the Windows toggle button, found in the main toolbar. Think of this as making Whiteboard transparent, with a regular Windows computer displayed behind. Switch between whiteboard pen tools and mouse mode (for interacting with Windows) by toggling between and . + | ===Screen sharing with third party services===
+ | Your myViewBoard account can connect with several third-party services to integrate your Whiteboard for Windows session with videoconferencing and screen-sharing services.
+ | |||
+ | The first step for integrating with a Zoom, Skype, and GoToMeeting account is to connect the service to your myViewBoard account. Do this by first signing in to myviewboard.com, and clicking <span class="kbd" style="padding:5px;"><i class="fa fa-universal-access"></i> FollowMe</span> in the top menu, and finally selecting <span class="kbd" style="padding:5px;">Cloud Integration</span> in the left-hand side settings menu. From this screen, you can bind several third-party services.
+ | |||
+ | The solutions shown below for Cisco Webex and Google Meet do not require the above step to bind accounts, as they are launched from their own software to share your device screen and are thus independent of Whiteboard. They can still be used to share your screen, including the Whiteboard screen.

Whiteboard for Windows is a digital whiteboard designed to run on the Windows operating system. Whiteboard for Windows uses AES-256 encryption to protect data. myViewBoard Security outlines security features of the myViewBoard ecosystem, including Whiteboard.
To get started for the first time, please check system requirements and how to create a myViewBoard account.

1This applies to participants interacting with the host whiteboard by watching the Wireless Presentation, or using features from myviewboard.com, such as Throw.
2For users running 11th Gen Intel, performance issues are expected when using the Embedded Browser or when uploading GIF files. In order to improve performance, please update your Intel Graphics Driver to version 30.0.100.9667 or a newer production version. The latest drivers can be found here. Whiteboard working area
After opening Whiteboard, you will see the working area and toolbar icons - Whiteboard session information and Whiteboard Settings icons at the upper-left and upper-right corners, and the other tools for interaction in the activity area. Just like a regular whiteboard, you can use the Pen tool to write on the board and the
Eraser to clear writing. Remember not to use a real pen to draw on the board!
Different from a regular whiteboard:
- The working area is infinite and can be zoomed in and out, and moved around using the
Infinite Canvas tool.
- You can add new pages by clicking/tapping
New Page in the floating toolbar. It's up to you how you choose to display your materials; on different pages, or different parts of the same page (or a combination of both).
- You have access to a host of interactive tools via
Magic Box and an
Embedded browser
- You can display your existing files and content (click here to jump to that section).
- There is an option to use the entire Windows computer operating system with the
Windows toggle button, found in the main toolbar. Think of this as making Whiteboard transparent, with a regular Windows computer displayed behind. Switch between whiteboard pen tools and mouse mode (for interacting with Windows) by toggling between
