Whiteboard for Android is a digital whiteboard solution designed specifically to be used on an Android device. Whiteboard for Android functions similarly to the Windows version with a few minor differences.

Set Up a myViewBoard Account

Sign up for a myViewBoard account

myViewBoard sign-in panel

To get the most out of myViewBoard, users need to create a complimentary myViewBoard account at http://www.myviewboard.com. Note that Whiteboard for Android can still be used without signing in. However, some features will be unavailable.

First select Get started from the top-right of the myViewBoard homepage.

On the next screen there are the following options to sign up:

Sign up with an existing Google, Apple or Microsoft account:

  1. Click one of the following:
    Google.svg Sign in with Google
    Microsoft.svg Sign in with Microsoft
    Apple.svg Sign in with Apple
  2. On the next window, grant permission for myViewBoard to access the account.

Sign up using a regular email:

  1. On the myViewBoard sign up page, enter the following:
    • Unique myViewBoard name
    • Email
    • Password
  2. Select the checkbox to comply with myViewBoard terms of service and privacy policy agreement.
  3. Click Sign Up.

After successfully signing-up:

  1. An activation email will be sent to the account. Click the link in the activation email.
  2. After activation, sign in and set up the new myViewBoard account.
  3. On first sign in, myViewBoard.com prompts the user to update the user's Personal Profile and Account Name.

Bind a cloud storage account

Next, bind a cloud storage service to the account. Integration connects a Google Drive, Dropbox, Box OneDrive or OneDrive for Business cloud accounts to myViewBoard, and allows media, lessons and other content to be saved to the cloud.

Bind a cloud account on the FollowMe AI page.
  1. Sign in to http://www.myViewBoard.com.
  2. Click your avatar, and select FollowMe from the drop down.
  3. Click Cloud Integration on the side panel.
  4. On the Cloud Integration screen, select the cloud storage account you want to bind.
  5. Sign in to your account and allow myViewBoard to access your account.

After binding, a new folder named myViewBoard is created at the root directory of your cloud storage account.

Binding a cloud storage account provides the following benefits:

  • Allows saving media, lessons and other content to the cloud. If the process is successful, users can use the Magic Box to access the contents of their cloud storage account.
  • Enables the use of custom images for certain Whiteboard features. myViewBoard automatically creates it's own 'system' folder myViewBoard in the integrated cloud storage account. The Whiteboard program loads the contents of this folder whenever a user signs in to a Whiteboard session.

Upload custom images and settings

Upload custom backgrounds on the FollowMe AI page.

One the cloud storage account is ready, upload custom images to customize your myViewBoard experience.

  1. Sign in to http://www.myviewboard.com.
  2. Click your avatar, and select FollowMe from the drop down.
  3. Under Settings, ensure that myViewBoard default theme is not selected.
  4. Under Cloud Integration, ensure that the correct cloud storage account is selected as the default.
  5. Under Backgrounds:
    1. Select from linked cloud storage, myViewBoard Originals, or Education preset images to set as the default background (applied to Whiteboard when signed in).
  6. Under Magic Line Pens, and Shape Pens:
    1. Click Update Files to open the relevant folder in your cloud storage.
    2. You can upload PNG and JPG images to this folder.
    3. Back in the previous Magic Line Pens, or Shape Pens settings pages, you can now select default images that will be applied to Whiteboard when signed in to your myViewBoard account.

Images must meet the following dimensions:
Background Any resolution, but 3840 x 2160 (4k resolution) is recommended
Magic Line Pen Should be at least 96 x 96 pixels. Images are tiled to fill the space.
Shape Pen 96 x 96 pixels, all pen images are scaled to this resolution
