myViewBoard Manager is a tool for Entity Admins to remotely manage multiple installations of ViewSonic devices, such as ViewBoard, ViewSonic CDE, and ViewBoard Box.

To access Manager, click the Manager tile after signing into myviewboard.com. Alternatively, first click Entity Management, and then click Manager on the side panel.

Note that this option is only available for users signed in using an Entity Admin or Owner account, typically used by school principals and IT directors.
If your organization has not yet signed up for an Entity account, find out more about the Entity sign-up process.
To learn more about Manager Advanced features, view the Manager Advanced page.

Download Manager to Devices

System requirements

System requirements
  • myViewBoard Manager is preinstalled on ViewSonic devices, which includes all ViewBoard models, ViewBoard Box connected devices, CDE 12 & 20 series, and a limited series of ViewSonic LED displays running Android 7 or higher. All ViewSonic IFPs come preinstalled with Android built-in native to the ViewBoard OS. In case the app is not found, please download it from myviewboard.com and install it.
  • To successfully use remote control features, ensure that TCP Port 443 is open on your network.
  • "Allow installation of apps from unknown sources" must be enabled on the IFP/device.

Enable installation of apps from unknown sources on IFPs

Steps to enable the Install apps from unknown sources setting will vary depending on the IFP model. See the following pages for examples:

If in doubt, your IFP's user manual will most likely contain instructions on installing APK files. If you need further assistance, see if you can find your answers here, or contact your IFP reseller for more details.

Whitelisting requirements

The following domains must be whitelisted in order to access Manager and manage devices:

  • *myviewboard.com
This is required for the web applications ecosystem to function
  • *myviewboard.cloud
This is required for proper functioning of web service resources
  • *firebraseio.com
Used by video and audio streaming features
  • *amazonaws.com
    Used by AWS services

Please be sure to include * asterisks where shown above.

The following services must be whitelisted in order to enable use of the remote desktop feature (Manager Advanced users only):

  • TCP 443 for mrtc.myviewboard.cloud
  • TCP 443 for getice.myviewboard.cloud

Allow access to the following from the internet (WAN):

  • TCP 443 for ice.myviewboard.cloud
  • TCP 3478 for ice.myviewboard.cloud
  • UDP 3478 for ice.myviewboard.cloud

Peer-to-peer connection should be allowed (optional, but enables better performance):

  • 1024-65535 UDP

Add Devices to Manager

Once devices are set up and have the myViewBoard Manager app installed, they can be added to an entity and managed remotely from the Manager web app (available to entity admins after signing into myviewboard.com).

On the device to manage:

  1. Open the app and note the 6-digit PIN displayed.

On myViewBoard Manager web console:

  1. Click the Add device button ManagerAddNewPlaylist.svg.
  2. Input the 6-digit PIN you obtained earlier.
  3. Name the device (optional).
  4. Add the device to a new or existing group (optional).
  5. Click Add.

Other methods also allow for adding devices to Manager.
