+ | ==Create and apply device profiles==
+ | Profiles is an [[MyViewBoard Manager Advanced|Advanced]] feature that allows IT Admin to create device profile templates that can be applied to selected devices.
+ | |||
+ | These profiles can be configured to suit various organizational needs. For example, perhaps a set of ViewBoards are placed in one wing of a school, and all these devices should follow the same startup and shutdown schedule, have access to the same Wi-Fi network, etc. With a specially configured profile, these device settings can be assigned to your desired devices with simply a few clicks of the mouse.

myViewBoard Manager is a tool for Entity Admins to remotely manage multiple installations of ViewSonic devices, such as ViewBoard, ViewSonic CDE, and ViewBoard Box.
To access Manager, click the Manager tile after signing into myviewboard.com. Alternatively, first click Entity Management, and then click Manager on the side panel.
Download Manager to devices
- myViewBoard Manager is preinstalled on ViewSonic devices, which includes all ViewBoard models, ViewBoard Box connected devices, CDE 12 & 20 series, and a limited series of ViewSonic LED displays running Android 7 or higher. All ViewSonic IFPs come preinstalled with Android built-in native to the ViewBoard OS. In case the app is not found, please download it from myviewboard.com and install it.
- To successfully use remote control features, ensure that TCP Port 443 is open on your network.
- "Allow installation of apps from unknown sources" must be enabled on the IFP/device.
Steps to enable the Install apps from unknown sources setting will vary depending on the IFP model. See the following pages for examples:
- How to install custom apps in the Android module for IFP50 series displays
- How to install APK on CDE6561T?
- Google Play store not found on IFP
If in doubt, your IFP's user manual will most likely contain instructions on installing APK files. If you need further assistance, see if you can find your answers here, or contact your IFP reseller for more details.
Manager web console is available to Entity Admins and Owners after signing in to myviewboard.com. To register a device under an entity (so it appears in the Manager web app), first, make sure the Manager Android app is installed on the device.

myViewBoard Manager displays all your managed devices in a list on the All Devices panel, including options to quickly manage your devices through a remote control.
The right-most panel contains the remote control. Click the checkbox of your desired device to display it.
Remote control contains the following features:

These profiles can be configured to suit various organizational needs.

How to acquire Manager Advanced licenses
For users who already have access to basic Manager features, access a Manager Advanced sign-up form within the Manager console.
To sign up, navigate to the Manager Advanced page through the left-side panel. Then, click the Get Free Trial button to open the form. Your entity information will be pre-filled — simply fill out the remaining required fields and send the request.
For users who have already completed a free trial, you may use the same form on the Manager console to send a purchase request in the same manner described above.
For users with an established Entity account, you may also contact a ViewSonic representative via our contact form. Under I'd like to..., select Request Manager Advanced 90-day free trial. Alternatively, you can reach out to your established ViewSonic representative or Certified MSP.
If your organization has not yet signed up for an Entity account, find out more about the Entity sign-up process.
