myViewBoard Display for Windows
myViewBoard Display for Windows turns any device into running Windows into a wireless display, capable of receiving another device's screen with only a code and password via myviewboard.com/display/. For example, an Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) can become a display to which any other device with a suitable web browser can use to display their screen. The host screen runs Display for Windows, while any PC, Mac, or tablet with an internet connection can use a suitable browser to share their screen, without wires or downloading any software.

Note: Currently, Displaying from mobile web browsers is not permitted to cast to Display for Windows/Android.

Minimum requirements
- OS: Windows 10
- Processor: Intel Core i3 or AMD equivalent
- Architecture: x64
- RAM: 4GB
- Network: 10 Mbps; a wired connection is preferred
- Must have open access to the public internet

- OS: Windows 10
- Processor: Intel Core i5 or AMD equivalent
- Architecture: x64
- RAM: 8GB
- Network: 25 Mbps; a wired connection is preferred
- Must have open access to the public internet

For sharing to Display
- OS: Windows 10, MacOS, Android, or ChromeOS
- Browser: latest version of Google Chrome, Chromium, or Microsoft Edge. Safari is not supported.
- Network: stable 25 Mbps; wired ethernet connection recommended where possible.
Network ports to open
- TCP Port 443 (HTTPS) outbound
- UDP and TCP port 3478 bidirectional to the WebRTC servers
- UDP Ports 50,000 – 65,535 (RTP/sRTP/RTCP) bidirectional to the WebRTC servers
These ports are optional. If blocked, media will be proxied using TURN on port 3478.
Download myViewBoard Display for Windows
Download Display for Windows from myviewboard.com/download. The file is under 70 MB.
Open Display
- Make sure the device is turned on and is connected to the internet.
- Press Windows key + S to open search, and type myViewBoard Display
- Click the Display icon to open it.
- Once loaded, a code and password will be displayed on screen.
- First make sure myViewBoard Display is open on the receiving device (see above).
- On the device from which you want to share a screen, go to myviewboard.com/display.
- Enter the Display Code and One Time Password displayed on the receiving device. Note that the password refreshes every 30 seconds.
Troubleshooting
If you have issues connecting, review the following:
- Check that both the receiving device and the casting device have a stable network connection.
- Check if the One Time Password has expired, and enter the new one if it has.
- Display for Windows supports 1:1 mirroring, meaning each session must be between one device and one client only.
WebRTC is a method used by Display and other apps to share video. Most browsers support WebRTC; however, you can also run the following WebRTC testing tool to check: https://myviewboard.com/cast2/test/index.html
Step 1: Open a web browser on the receiving device and run the following tool to check webRTC status: https://myviewboard.com/cast2/test/index.html
- If it shows at least 1 green line, this means webRTC network has no connection issues.
- If it shows 3 yellow lines, webRTC network is blocked and has an issue.
Step 2: Open the same link on the casting device.
- If it shows at least 1 green line, this means webRTC network has no connection issues.
- If it shows 3 yellow lines, webRTC network is blocked and has an issue.
In other words, both steps 1 and 2 must display at least 1 green line to indicate a healthy webRTC connection — one green line for the receiving device and another green line for the casting device.
Display Code Not Accessible
In cases when Display encounters server errors, your Display Code or One Time Password may not display/and or function as expected.
If you encounter this, no action is required on your part. Allow some time to pass before checking the Display app again to see if the problem persists.
Please do not attempt to use Display again until the Display Code appears and the One Time Password timer begins counting down again.
