Keyboard Shortcuts

Whiteboard for Windows supports the following keyboard shortcuts.

Clicking the Windows Toggle Button I-main-toolbar-windows-toggle.svg enters "desktop mode", which also disables Whitbeoard keyboard shortcuts to avoid interfering with common Windows hotkeys.

Double press to open Pen submenu

Double press to open Shape/Line submenu
T Text Editor
Double press to switch to handwriting mode
H Infinite Canvas
Press to drag the canvas, press twice for canvas overview.
E Eraser
Double press to open eraser submenu for extra options
Home Goto the first page (if the canvas contains multiple pages)
End Goto the last page (if the canvas contains multiple pages)
Page Down Goto the next page (if the canvas contains multiple pages)
Page Up Goto the previous page (if the canvas contains multiple pages)
ESC Cancel selected objects
CTRL+A Select all objects
CTRL+C Copy object
CTRL+D Duplicate object
CTRL+V Paste object
CTRL+X Cut object
CTRL+Y Redo
A keyboard shortcut reapplies an action that was previously undone.
CTRL+Z Undo
A keyboard shortcut reverses the last action taken.
CTRL+O Open File
Whiteboard for Windows prompts the user to save a current canvas before opening a file.
CTRL+S Save File
CTRL+N New File
Whiteboard for Windows prompts the user to save a current canvas before creating a new file.
CTRL+P Print
CTRL+R Open the screen recorder
CTRL+DRAG Duplicate an object
CTRL+ Shift+D Duplicate page
The new page is created next to the currently selected page. Press Next page to go to the duplicated page.

Mouse wheel special features

Action Description
Mouse wheel click Click and hold the mouse wheel and drag to move the canvas without selecting the infinite canvas tool first.
Mouse wheel scroll Scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in/out on the canvas without selecting the infinite canvas tool first.
