FollowMe settings apply to every myViewBoard Whiteboard and Classroom session. These settings 'follow' the user across devices and sessions to make using myViewBoard apps more convenient and consistent.
To customize your FollowMe settins, first log in to myviewboard.com and then:
- Click the
icon on the toolbar,
- or
- Click your avatar, and select the
FollowMe from the drop down menu.
- After customizing the settings, don't forget to click Confirm at the bottom of the page.
Once the settings have been saved, you may need to start a new session in Whiteboard or Classroom by logging in again.
FollowMe Options
Some options are hidden for the default myViewBoard theme. To see all the FollowMe options, select any theme except myViewBoard default.
Settings
By default, all settings are turned off. Click the toggle to turn these settings on, and then click Confirm.
Theme | Change the theme for Whiteboard - this applies to menus and icons. |

Auto logout time | Set how long Whiteboard will wait until automatically logging out. |
Session password | Turn on to require students to enter a passcode to join Classroom sessions. |
Show Time | Displays the current date and time on the upper side of the Whiteboard for Windows or Android canvas. This can also be changed from the background menu in Whiteboard. |
Show Grid | Displays a grid over the canvas in Whiteboard for Windows or Android. |
Show Watermark | Displays a 'confidential' watermark in Whiteboard for Windows or Android. |
Always enable Wireless Presentation | Keeps Wireless Presentation automatically turned on in Whiteboard for Windows. For more information, see Wireless Presentation. Wireless Presentation can always be turned on or off from Whiteboard itself. |
Font settings | Set the font size, style, and color used by the text tool. Applies to Whiteboard. |
Pen settings | Set the pen width and color. Applies to Whiteboard. |
Don't forget to click Confirm to save settings.
Cloud Integration

Your myViewBoard account can connect to popular third-party cloud storage and videoconferencing accounts.
myViewBoard supports the following cloud services:
Google Drive
Dropbox
Box
OneDrive and OneDrive for Business (only available for Entity accounts)
NextCloud Files
Zoom
Google Classroom
- GoToMeeting
Your myViewBoard account can connect to other accounts you may have, such as cloud storage and videoconferencing accounts.
myViewBoard supports the following cloud services:
Google Drive
Dropbox
Box
OneDrive and OneDrive for Business (only available for Entity accounts)
Zoom
Google Classroom
- GoToMeeting
To connect accounts, click Bind and then sign in and authorize the accounts to be linked.

Bookmarks
This applies to the embedded browser in Whiteboard for Windows and Whiteboard for Android. After opening the embedded browser, there launch page has several tiles with links - these can all be customized in the Bookmarks section of FollowMe on myviewboard.com.
To manage the bookmark tiles:
- Go to http://myviewboard.com.
- Click the
FollowMe icon.
- Click Tiles.
- Click a group to edit.
- On the new windows, click
to enter edit mode.
- Click
to add a new bookmark tile.
- Click
to remove an exiting tile
- Click
- Click
to save your edits.
Background
Change the default background for Whiteboard for Windows and Whiteboard for Android. Choose from your linked Google Drive account, education themed backgrounds, or myViewBoard Originals.
To choose a background:
- Click the check mark circle below the image you'd like to set as the default background.
- Scroll down and click Set as default.
- You can always change the background for Whiteboard from the app itself later.
Click Update Files to go directly to the folder for Backgrounds in the linked Google Drive.
To add a custom image via Google Drive:
- In your linked Google Drive, go to myViewBoard > Background folder.
- Add your selected image(s) to the Background folder in Drive via upload or drag and drop.
- In the FollowMe settings on myviewboard.com, go to Background and select Google Drive. Scroll down and select the image you want to set as the default background.
- Scroll down and click Set as default.
Any resolution image can be set as the default background - however we recommend higher resolutions such as 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels).

Magic Line Pen
Magic Line Pen is available in Whiteboard for Windows and Whiteboard for Android.
You can change which pattern or image to use for the default Magic Line Pen in the FollowMe settings.
If a Google Drive account is linked, you can add custom images to be used as a Magic Line Pen - these will appear at the top of the page in the FollowMe settings.
The Magic Line Pen can always be changed on the fly from within Whiteboard too.
Click Update Files to go directly to the folder for Magic Line Pen in the linked Google Drive.
Use custom patterns or images via Google Drive:
- In your linked Google Drive, go to myViewBoard > Magic Line Pen folder.
- Add your selected image(s) to the Magic Line Pen folder in Drive via upload or drag and drop.
- These will now be available from the Magic Line Pen in Whiteboard for Windows and Whiteboard for Android.
For Magic Line Pens, myViewBoard supports any resolution, but images should at least be 96 x 96 pixels. Images are tiled to fill the space.

Shape pen
Shape Pen is available in Whiteboard for Windows and Whiteboard for Android.
You can change which pattern or image to use for the default Shape Pen in the FollowMe settings.
If a Google Drive account is linked, you can add custom images to be used as a Shape Pen - these will appear at the top of the page in the FollowMe settings.
The Shape Pen can always be changed on the fly from within Whiteboard too.
Click Update Files to go directly to the folder for Shape pen in the linked Google Drive.
Use custom patterns or images via Google Drive:
- In your linked Google Drive, go to myViewBoard > Shape Pen folder.
- Add your selected image(s) to the Shape Pen folder in Drive via upload or drag and drop.
- These will now be available from the Shape Pen in Whiteboard for Windows and Whiteboard for Android.
For Shape Pens, myViewBoard supports images measuring 96 x 96 pixels. All pen images are scaled to this resolution.
