EZCast Pro Dongle II supports Miracast and AirPlay, providing a native casting experience that allows users to stream video without installing other apps.
Overview
EZCast Pro Dongle II improves on the existing Pro Dongle technology with new hardware and software support. The new 802.11ac 5G 2T2R Wi-Fi transceiver creates a faster and more stable Wi-Fi performance.

EZCast Pro Dongle II with Native Mirror Function
Android
- Click in your Setting menu and select the SSID that matches your dongle.
Verify that your device supports the Miracast protocol. Also, the Cast Logo may vary depending on the device. - After connecting successfully, the screen is mirrored on the external display.
iOS
- Connect your iOS device to the EZCast Pro Dongle II entry in the Wi-Fi list. Alternatively, connect your iOS device and dongle to the same WAP (Wireless Access Point).
- Click on the menu and select the SSID that matches your dongle.
- After connecting successfully, the screen is mirrored on the external display.
Windows
- Open the Windows Settings Menu, then enter the Display section.
- Locate and select the SSID of the dongle.
- After connecting successfully, the screen is mirrored on the external display.
You may need to select different methods (eg, Duplicate, Extend, etc.) depending on the requirement.
macOS
- Connect your iOS device to the EZCast Pro Dongle II entry in the Wi-Fi list. Alternatively, connect your iOS device and dongle to the same WAP (Wireless Access Point).
- Click on the menu and select the SSID that matches your dongle.
- After connecting successfully, the screen is mirrored on the external display.
Multi-screen Broadcasting with ProCast
User may select one laptop as the casting source that will broadcast to other external displays. Note that Multi-screen broadcasting is currently only compatible with Windows and macOS systems.
DO NOT launch EZCast Pro App and ProCast at the same time.
Before using Multi-screen broadcasting, verify that all dongles connected to external displays are on the same Wifi SSID.
Note that having more devices connected will affect the available bandwidth.

- Download ProCast App from the website and install it.
- Launch ProCast App to detect the SSIDs of all matching dongles.
- Click to cast your screen to the external displays.
Make sure your laptop and all external displays are connected under the same SSID.

1. Audio Buffer
a. Long: A longer buffer may provide a better audio streaming experience
b. Short: This may cause the audio to crack more frequently
2. Diagnostic Tool:
Based on the user’s CPU and network performance, the Diagnostic tool calculates the ideal number of connected external displays. Note that the mirroring performance will vary under different conditions. For example, showing a static presentation will perform better than streaming a 4K video.
Download EZCast Pro App
There are different versions of EZCast Pro App available for multiple OS platforms. The EZCast Pro App allows users to customize the configuration of their dongles, including Wi-Fi, Split Screen, etc. To download the app, refer to the list below. An introduction to the App functions will be discussed later.
EZCast Pro App Introduction
The following are the built-in functions of the EZCast Pro App. Note that some functions are available on certain OS platforms only.
EZNote | View all the devices’ casting content in the output screen, then take notes directly on their own mobile device. | |
EZKeep | Review notes saved previously. Aside from browsing notes, users can also add bookmarks, edit notes information, make comments, delete notes, etc. | |
EZChannel | Shows the most popular and latest online videos. Content includes movies, TV series, and 24-hour news. At the upper right corner, click the HQ/LQ button to allow the user to toggle between High Quality (HQ) and Low Quality (LQ) videos streams. | |
Photo | After connecting a mobile device to the EZCast Pro Dongle II, use the Photo feature to browse images stored on the device. The EZCast Pro App also supports slideshow mode, which provides four different timing transition options (3, 5, 10, 30 seconds per photo). | |
Camera | Provides live casting service by transmitting a live image from the user’s device to an external display. | |
Music | Stream audio to the output device. Note that when streaming music to an external display, the EZCast Pro Dongle II can only accept one device as the audio source. | |
Video | Cast video content to the external display. Note that when using the Video function during Split Screen mode, all connected devices will be disconnected from network display mode. | |
Document (iOS only) | Review documents in the EZCast Pro App. This feature supports mainstream document formats, including Microsoft’s Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as Apple’s Pages, Numbers, and Keynotes. | |
Web | Browse web content within the EZCast Pro App, without installing a 3rd party browser. To provide a better browsing experience, the EZCast Pro App comes with search portals like Google, Facebook, Yahoo, YouTube, etc already integrated. Users who previously owned an EZCast account can login first and browse bookmarks previously saved. | |
Cloud Storage | The EZCast Pro Dongle II integrates with most mainstream cloud storage services, such as Dropbox, Google Drive, etc. With this function, users can browse, edit, delete or manage their cloud storage without leaving the EZCast Pro App. | |
AirView | AirView mode allows users to see connected external displays on their own device. This function also allows the user to choose the preferred refresh rate. Users can also select the preferred refresh rate in the Setting menu. |
Setting
The Setting menu allows users to configure custom settings for their EZCast Pro Dongle II.
Scan 5G SSID and Connect | Connect the EZCast Pro Dongle II to preferred networks by selecting SSID and entering Wi-Fi password. After setup is complete, the user may utilize wireless functions such as online video streaming, web browsing, etc. | |
Language | Support mainstream languages such as English, French, German, Chinese, etc. | |
Device Name | User may set new SSID for the EZCast Pro Dongle II, deciding whether to show SSID at the standby screen. Before turning off the SSID function, verify that the EZCast Pro Dongle II is already connected to a Wi-Fi router. Otherwise, this would cause the EZCast Pro Dongle II to lose wireless connectivity. EZAir Mode | EZAir mode is specifically designed for iOS devices (including iPhones and iPads) to enable users to utilize AirPlay, the native mirroring function provided by Apple. Users may select “Mirror only” or “Screen Mirror+Video Streaming”. The former can only mirror the screen content, while the latter can cast both screen and audio content to external displays. | |

Castcode Control | If enabled, mirrors the screen by entering the cast code displayed on the standby screen. | |
Max Connections | Select the number of devices allowed to connect to the EZCast Pro Dongle II. The default setting is 8 users. Note that connecting more devices lowers the network bandwidth available for each user. |
Advanced Settings
The Admin Setting is for advanced users (including MIS Engineer, IT specialist, Network admin, etc). The Admin Setting section allows customization of the EZCast configuration.
- Link Status
- With this option, the attendees may see all the device information that connected to EZCast Pro Dongle II, including detailed information like device name, IP address, and Role.
- Conference Control
- This function is only for Host user. With Host authorization, a user can assign each device with their own casting area, disconnect all devices, or assign Host authorization to others.

- Network Management
Scan 5G SSID and Connect | Connect the EZCast Pro Dongle II to preferred networks by selecting SSID and entering Wi-Fi password. After setup is complete, the user may utilize wireless functions such as online video streaming, web browsing, etc. | |
WiFi IP Setting | Sets up a default IP address and netmask. If more advanced settings are required, the user can also configure the IP address, Gateway, Netmask, and DNS settings manually. | |
WiFi Password | Sets the Wi-Fi password for EZCast Pro Dongle II. Users may also set to hide the Wi-Fi password from the standby screen. | |
WiFi Channel | Configure WiFi channel settings manually, such as Country, Channel, and Bandwidth. Note that user will be unable to switch the WiFi Channel if the EZCast Pro Dongle II is connected to an external router. |
- Admin Setting
- The Admin Setting is for advanced users like IT administrators or MIS engineers. In this section, admins can provide a digital certificate for the EZCast Pro Dongle II, setup SNMP for mass devices configuration deployment, and update the EZCast Pro Dongle II through an OTA server for premium users.

Connection | EZCast Pro Dongle II provides three different ways to connect with EZCast Pro Dongle II.

Upgrade | Use this function to upgrade to latest firmware. To enjoy the latest features from EZCast, verify that your firmware version is up to date. | |
Reset to default | Reset EZCast Pro Dongle II to factory defaults. Note that once you click OK, all your configuration is reset. |

- Shows detailed information about the EZCast Pro Dongle II, including SSID, Firmware version, Internet IP address, and MAC address.
Split Screen Mode
Based on the number of connected devices, a host user may divide the external display to use a one-half, one-quarter or full-display screen setup.
Mirror
Users can also use the mirror feature. Note that in mirror mode, only the video is projected to the external display. All audio still comes out from the host media source.
Privacy Setting
Users can set access configuration settings for the App, including Photos, Camera, Cellular Data, Notification, etc.
For features that collect data (like Google Analytics for App or Google Analytics for Dongle), users can decide whether they want to have these features turned on or not.
