The Receive screen feature allows others to receive a live video stream of an active myViewBoard session. Note that you need to install the myViewBoard Extension for Chrome to receive a cast.
Prerequisites
Before using the Receive screen feature, verify that the following requirements have been met:
- The myViewBoard Extension for Chrome is already installed
- Users must be signed into http://myViewBoard.com to receive a screen
- Users running myViewBoard for Windows program must also be signed in to receive the stream

Using Receiving Screen
To cast the myViewBoard for Windows screen to another device:
- Go to myviewboard.com.
- Click the 'Receive a viewboard on your screen' icon.
Note that you need to install the myViewBoard Extension for Chrome to perform casting. - On the window that appears, provide the myViewBoard Name of the session that sends the cast.
- Another window appears with the following message.
Waiting for streaming
- On the myViewBoard for Windows program, verify that the cast icon is already green.
- Click the Cast icon on the main toolbar.
- On the Present out tab, click the entry you want to cast to.
- The myViewBoard screen starts streaming on the other device.
- To stop the cast:
- Click the Cast icon on the main toolbar.
- On the Present out tab, click the entry you want to stop.
- The cast ends immediately.
Notes
- Users must be signed into http://myViewBoard.com to receive a screen.
- While someone is sharing, their screen is displayed live, with some delay depending on the network speed.
