myViewBoard for Android User Interface
myViewBoard for Android displays the following user interface when in use:
The myViewBoard for Android working area is divided into the following areas.
Canvas area
Main area where users work in. By default, the background of the canvas area is blank. However, this can be customized via the following methods:
- Click the Whiteboard background management menu to specify another solid color, or one of the predefined images as the background.
- Sign in to your myViewBoard account to load your personal preferences, including any customizations applied to backgrounds, shape lines and magic pens.
Resize the canvas area by dragging the handle bar at the right bottom side of the MyViewBoard program.
Customize the myViewBoard Canvas
Use the background menu to change the canvas background.
- Click the background menu icon.
- Select a background from the following sources:
FollowMe AI setting
Displays custom images uploaded in the cloud storage account.Color Palette
Sets a solid or gradient color as the background.Pre-installed
Displays backgrounds that come pre-installed with myViewBoard.Local hard drive
Use images from the user's hard drive.Select Image
Select images from the local hard drive to use as background.
It is recommended that selected images match your screen's resolution.
- After selection, specify if the background is only applied to the current page, or to all pages.
- (Optional) To display an overlay over the canvas, click one of the options below:
Grid
Displays a grid over the canvas. The color of the grid changes depending on the background color.Confidential
Displays a 'confidential' watermark. The watermark may not be visible on certain background colors.Date Time
Displays the current date and time on the upper side of the canvas. Click the date to open the calendar.
To add events to the calendar, see Integrate with Google Calendar.
Click the time to switch between 12-hour and 24-hour formats.
Floating Toolbar
The Floating Toolbar allows users to perform operations on the canvas. This toolbar can be moved freely around the canvas area.

Presentation Mode Switches the canvas to fullscreen mode. |

Paste from clipboard Inserts the current clipboard content onto the canvas. |

Embed browser Opens the built-in browser to access internet resources, which can be dragged onto the canvas. |

Previous Page If the canvas contains multiple pages, displays the previous page. |

Next Page If the canvas contains multiple pages, displays the next page. |

New Page Adds a new page to the canvas. |
Main Toolbar
The main toolbar contains tools that allow users to add annotations to the canvas area. This toolbar is always fixed to the right, left or bottom side of the program window. The appearance of icons in the toolbar vary depending on the selected theme.
myViewBoard for Android includes the following icons in the toolbar:

Screen capture Displays options for capturing the contents of the canvas. |

Move toolbar Click and drag to move toolbar to the side of the screen. |

File Displays options for opening, saving, exporting and printing files. |

Magic box Displays various tools that you can insert into the canvas. |

Infinite canvas Move the canvas, zoom in/out, and open the infinite canvas overview. |

Selection Selects objects, text and pictures. |

Pen Draws freehand lines and squiggles. Click again to open pen options. |

Eraser Erases objects, based on the last mode selected. Click again to display eraser options. |

Shape/Line Draws lines and shapes with different styles. Click again to display shape options. |

Text/Handwriting Creates a textbox. Click again to switch to handwriting recognition. |

Undo Reverses the previous action |

Page Creates, selects, sorts, and deletes pages. |
Title Bar
The title bar appears at the topmost section of the myViewBoard program. If logged in, the title bar acts like a toolbar and provides access to the following options:

Lists events logged during the current myViewBoard session

Opens the settings window

Quits the current session and closes the myViewBoard application window
Adorning Menu
The Adorning menu appears whenever an object is clicked, and provides several options to work with the selected object. Options in the Adorning Menu vary depending on the object selected.
All Objects
These options are available for all objects.

Deletes the selected object

Locks the select object and prevents accidental movement. To unlock, click the object and click the Lock Icon on the object.

In presentation mode, click the object to spin.

In presentation mode, click the object to fade.

Links to a file, website, text, audio file, specific page or tool.

Cuts the selected object. Use the Paste icon in the floating toolbar to paste.

Copies the selected object. Use the Paste icon in the floating toolbar to paste.

Click and drag to create a copy of an object. To deactivate, click the icon in the middle of the object.

Creates a flipped copy of the selected object.

Flips the selected object along the selected axis.

Groups the selected objects. Grouped objects move together.
Shapes and Lines
Most options are available for both shapes and lines. Note that some options are available for specific shapes only.

Adjust the line thickness of the line using a slider.

Change the color of the selected lines or text.

Change the fill color of an object or the highlight color of text.

Set the transparency of the selected object.

Draws a circle on the inside of your shape.

Draws a circle on the outside of your shape.

Divides a 2D shape into segments, based on the vertices of the shape. Each segment is shaded a darker color of the main Fill Color.

Merges the multiple selected shapes into a single shape.

Converts a circle shape into a pie or arc object.

Displays the length and angle of each side of a shape or line object.
Images Only
These options are available for images inserted into the canvas.

Removes a specific color in an image.

Sets the selected image as the canvas background.

Resizes the selected image to fill the whole screen.

Remove parts of the selected image.

Save the selected image, video or audio file to the local hard drive or cloud storage.
Layers
Layers are usually available for all objects, except for lines drawn by the pen tool.

Control the stacking order of objects.

Control the stacking order of notes.

Move the selected object one layer down.

Move the selected object to the last layer.

Move the selected object to the first layer.

Move the selected object one layer up.
Miscellaneous
These options are available for specific objects only.

Pause a video, and click to insert a screenshot of the video frame into the canvas.

Reads the selected text.
myViewBoard for Android Settings
To modify settings within myViewBoard for Android, click the gear icon on the titlebar. Changes are applied immediately.

Gear
Settings that affect the current session. The most relevant settings are:
- Theme. Load different themes to change the icons and default backgrounds available
- Language. Changes the language used by the UI
- Text font. Configure default font for the Text tool
- Text to speech setting. Configure default text-to-speech settings

Specify how long the myViewBoard for Android program should wait before it logs the current user out.

Displays QR codes for downloading the myViewBoard Companion Apps.

Displays help for common myViewBoard tasks and questions.

Displays version details for the myViewBoard for Android program.
