myViewBoard Classroom Activities

Activities are interactive experiences which can be added to a course.

Two types of activities:

  • Creative activity - Activities that can be customized by the user
  • Standard activity - Activities pre-installed in myViewBoard classroom. These are built-in and cannot be customized.

Creative activities include:

  • iSpot. Place the markers on the correct spot
  • Word Survival. Guess the word on the board by revealing letters one at a time.
  • Pick the Right Ones. Select the correct answer from the choices presented.
  • Matching. Match two objects.
  • Puzzle. Move pieces around to solve the puzzle.
  • Jeopardy. Simulates a game of Jeopardy.

Creating an Activity

  1. On the myViewBoardClassroom page, click Activity.
  2. Click Create an Activity.
  3. Click the activity you want to create.
  4. On the next screen, specify the following:
    • Name
    • Thumbnail
    • Activity Description
  5. Click Create New Activity.
  6. Locate the new activity and review the details.
    • Game Type. Indicates the type of game used for the activity.
    • Share State. By default, the Share State of all new activities are set to Private.
    • Last Updated. Date and time of the last update to the activity.
  7. To start updating the activity, click Modify to open the activity creation area.
  8. After edits are complete, click to go back to the Activity overview area.

To add Activities into courses, create a course and use the Magic Box to add an activity. For more information see Magic Box.

Managing Activities

  1. On the myViewBoardClassroom page, click Activity.
  2. Locate the activity you want to update, and click Actions.
  3. Click one of the following options:
    • Start. Launch the activity.
    • Share to. Share the activity with the community.
    • Edit information. Update details of the activity
    • Delete. Remove the activity from the list. Removed activities cannot be recovered.
